TITUSVILLE, Fla. (October 1, 2013) — Five years ago, Barn Light Electric was a small business run from a laptop on the dining room table in Bryan and Donna Scott’s Brevard County home. Today, Barn Light Electric is America’s sole manufacturer of porcelain enamel lighting with headquarters in Titusville and a loyal following of customers around the globe.
On October 19, 2013, Barn Light Electric, along with the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce, will cut the ribbon on their newest manufacturing facility located at 320 Knox McRae Drive in Titusville. The Scotts renovated the building which once housed a home improvement store but had stood empty for a number of years. The festivities will begin at noon with the ribbon cutting at 1pm and will include several dignitaries including Titusville Mayor Jim Tulley, Vice Mayor Martha Long, Brevard County District 1 Commissioner Robin Fisher, and City Council member Rita Pritchett.
The grand opening will also feature a sidewalk sale with discounts on vintage and barn style lighting, catered food, face painting by Q-Tee the Clown, and an appearance by Tim Russell and his Barn Light Electric stock car. Russell will be signing autographs and Barn Light Electric will be giving away five pairs of tickets to the 48th Annual Governor’s Cup Race, Florida’s most prestigious Super Late Model race to be held October 24-26, 2013, at New Smyrna Speedway.
