With roots in early 20th-century lighting, the Marathon embraces a low profile and timeless shallow bowl shade. Despite these vintage influences, the Marathon’s sleek aesthetic complements many current designs and styles. By mounting this shade to a gooseneck arm, the Marathon can contribute touches of character to both interior and exterior spaces.
Thanks to the available finish options — porcelain, powder coat, brass, and copper — the Marathon complements a wide variety of looks, ranging from industrial and eclectic to refined and updated. Constructed entirely by hand in the United States, the Marathon demonstrates our unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and quality.
A rugged, handcraftedgooseneck wall light, this industrial fixture isa long-lastingindoor/outdoor lighting option.

Copper & Brass
For oil-rubbed copper, weathered copper and brass finishes, slight variations may occur from shade to shade.
Copper and brass fixtures have a longer lead time and may take up to 4 weeks to manufacture. There are no returns accepted on these metals.
Copper is a "living" metal that, without regular cleaning, will undergo a natural weathering process. Much like the formation of rust on iron, a patina develops on copper which actually protects the metal. If you prefer the new-penny look of copper, you can keep it shiny with regular care with a gentle cleaning agent such as Bar Keeper's Friend.
Porcelain Enamel
Porcelain enamel, our signature finish, is celebrated for its protective properties and unique, high-gloss surface. Every porcelain shade is fired in a special oven. To relieve the pressure that builds up in these high temperatures, one or more vent holes are included in the shade's design. The hole(s) are later sealed with silicon to prevent any chance of moisture intrusion that could damage the shade.
All fixtures undergo a strict quality control evaluation to ensure they meet our high standards; however, some minor blemishes may occur due to our hands-on construction and manufacturing processes. These blemishes do not affect the functionality of the fixture.
Lead Times & Returns
Lead Time: Standard lead time is 7-14 business days. For products in our Quick Ship Collection, standard lead time is 5-7 business days. Products utilizing natural metals including brass and copper may take up to 20-30 business days to manufacture.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to current supply chain challenges and additional factors beyond Barn Light Electric's control, lead times may be longer than customary. Please contact our Customer Care Team if you have any questions or concerns regarding your order(s) at 321-269-2299. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your extended patience.
Finish Care & Maintenance
No metal fixture, no matter the finish, is guaranteed against corrosion especially in salt air environments. If your fixture is installed in a location near salt water, we recommend cleaning it frequently.
If your fixture is not installed in a location near salt water, we recommend periodic cleaning with a mild soap-and-water wash and gentle buffing to extend the life of our painted finishes.
Beautiful finish and high quality materials. Looks great on our barn.

Though custom made to order, the delivery time was less than two weeks. The quality is excellent and the piece is well made. No cheap paint on this model and easy to install. I would highly recommend the ceramic for longevity.

I bought these lights because they looked like good quality. There was only one review on it at the time and the guy said it was "NOT your typical big box store light." I had a feeling this was true and I was not disappointed. These lights are fantastic. I got some of the old style "Edison" light bulbs and these lights are as beautiful as they are well made.
Would recommend them to anyone.

I ordered one of these lights for my 1928 Dilbeck home to put up in the front entrance to the house. Using a 12 in. black porcelain shade and a 16 in. aluminum goose neck arm, its perfect for its mounted location. Upon opening the the package when it arrived I was amazed at the quality of all the bits and pieces. This is NOT your typical big box store light fixture. No cheap feeling or cheap looking parts here. This is what I would call a high quality commercial grade fixture. I used a bit heavier mounting screws than what came with the light, to me that was the only weak piece with the hardware, and to me a non-issue. Would highly recommend if you are considering a Barn Light.
