By combining a classic shallow bowl shade with an ultra-modern studio mounting, the Marathon can only be described as “timeless.” The fixture’s unique mounting consists of a rugged metal suspension cable and a slack cord. This look gives the pendant a relaxed, casual aesthetic, helping it fit in with urban spaces and traditional settings.
Vintage designs inspired the pendant’s shade, both in terms of style and craftsmanship. The shallow shade complements décors from farmhouse to contemporary and is fully customizable with a diverse selection of finish options, including porcelain and natural materials. To construct the shade, flat pieces of metal are artfully spun and shaped by hand. Rugged, versatile, and stylish: elevate any décor with a Marathon Studio Light!
This ceiling hung light offers the strength and durability only available with commercial-grade materials and our hands-on manufacturing techniques.

Copper & Brass
For oil-rubbed copper, weathered copper and brass finishes, slight variations may occur from shade to shade.
Copper and brass fixtures have a longer lead time and may take up to 4 weeks to manufacture. There are no returns accepted on these metals.
Copper is a "living" metal that, without regular cleaning, will undergo a natural weathering process. Much like the formation of rust on iron, a patina develops on copper which actually protects the metal. If you prefer the new-penny look of copper, you can keep it shiny with regular care with a gentle cleaning agent such as Bar Keeper's Friend.
Porcelain Enamel
Porcelain enamel, our signature finish, is celebrated for its protective properties and unique, high-gloss surface. Every porcelain shade is fired in a special oven. To relieve the pressure that builds up in these high temperatures, one or more vent holes are included in the shade's design. The hole(s) are later sealed with silicon to prevent any chance of moisture intrusion that could damage the shade.
All fixtures undergo a strict quality control evaluation to ensure they meet our high standards; however, some minor blemishes may occur due to our hands-on construction and manufacturing processes. These blemishes do not affect the functionality of the fixture.
Lead Times & Returns
Lead Time: Standard lead time is 7-14 business days. For products in our Quick Ship Collection, standard lead time is 5-7 business days. Products utilizing natural metals including brass and copper may take up to 20-30 business days to manufacture.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to current supply chain challenges and additional factors beyond Barn Light Electric's control, lead times may be longer than customary. Please contact our Customer Care Team if you have any questions or concerns regarding your order(s) at 321-269-2299. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your extended patience.
Finish Care & Maintenance
No metal fixture, no matter the finish, is guaranteed against corrosion especially in salt air environments. If your fixture is installed in a location near salt water, we recommend cleaning it frequently.
If your fixture is not installed in a location near salt water, we recommend periodic cleaning with a mild soap-and-water wash and gentle buffing to extend the life of our painted finishes.
