Just like every fixture we produce, the Primary is made-to-order, letting you select the perfect customizing options for your space. Various finishes, along with optional hand-painted stripes for the glass shade, let this design appear unique and eye-catching.

Schoolhouse Globes
Schoolhouse globes are best cleaned with a damp, soft cloth. To protect the glass and painted bands, avoid alcohol-based and abrasive cleaners. Instead, we recommend the following alcohol-free soaps and cleaners: 409, Windex, Dawn Dish Soap, Simple Green, and Mr. Clean Multi-Surface. Schoolhouse globes featuring a painted band selection should only be used indoors.
Copper & Brass
For oil-rubbed copper, weathered copper and brass finishes, slight variations may occur from shade to shade.
Copper and brass fixtures have a longer lead time and may take up to 4 weeks to manufacture. That are no returns accepted on these metals.
Copper is a "living" metal that, without regular cleaning, will undergo a natural weathering process. Much like the formation of rust on iron, a patina develops on copper which actually protects the metal. If you prefer the new-penny look of copper, you can keep it shiny with regular care with a gentle cleaning agent such as Bar Keeper's Friend.

Lead Time: Standard lead time is 7-14 business days. For products in our Quick Ship Collection, standard lead time is 5-7 business days. Products utilizing natural metals including brass and copper may take up to 20-30 business days to manufacture.

Finish Care & Maintenance
No metal fixture, no matter the finish, is guaranteed against corrosion especially in salt air environments. If your fixture is installed in a location near salt water, we recommend cleaning it frequently.
If your fixture is not installed in a location near salt water, we recommend periodic cleaning with a mild soap-and-water wash and gentle buffing to extend the life of our painted finishes.

Our fixtures were beautifully crafted and well packed. My one concern is that I apparently misunderstood the stem length measurement, assuming that it would include the length of the ceiling mount and globe attachment. But the length is for the stem only- so my fixtures are longer than my intended height; but workable.
These lights tie our modern farmhouse kitchen together.

These lights look absolutely fantastic!
I have searched for years for the perfect foyer light for my home which is a cottage style architecture. The new light from Barn Light Electric is PERFECT especially with the light blue stripes.
I ordered three large primary schoolhouse fixtures for a kitchen renovation in black with triple black banding, they look great! I have a bunch of these lights in my large remodeled kitchen. They are just perfect for the space. Great quality and appearance.
These lights are very well made and very nice as it fits in with my farmhouse kitchen. My only issue is that when the lights are turned on, the jadite color looks black. Wish there was a way to keep the jadite color whether on or off. Aside from that, these are great lights.
