Schoolhouse Globes
Schoolhouse globes are best cleaned with a damp, soft cloth. To protect the glass and painted bands, avoid alcohol-based and abrasive cleaners. Instead, we recommend the following alcohol-free soaps and cleaners: 409, Windex, Dawn Dish Soap, Simple Green, and Mr. Clean Multi-Surface. Schoolhouse globes featuring a painted band selection should only be used indoors.
Lead Times & Returns
Lead Time: Standard lead time is 7-14 business days. For products in our Quick Ship Collection, standard lead time is 5-7 business days. Products utilizing natural metals including brass and copper may take up to 20-30 business days to manufacture.

Finish Care & Maintenance
No metal fixture, no matter the finish, is guaranteed against corrosion especially in salt air environments. If your fixture is installed in a location near salt water, we recommend cleaning it frequently.
If your fixture is not installed in a location near salt water, we recommend periodic cleaning with a mild soap-and-water wash and gentle buffing to extend the life of our painted finishes.

We wanted to add a subtle pop of color to our kitchen while sticking with a sort of vintage theme. Our pop is our jadeite collection so the Kao Schoolhouse Flushmount with white finish and two bands of jadeite was a no-brainer. We have two lights close together (one over the sink, one in the middle of the room) so we decided to get one of each so they are very similar but a tad different. It looks so great. Best investment we made in the kitchen. We are sure to point out to everyone that they are made in the US - we are very proud of that. Thanks for being so great, Barn Light. We'll be back for our next project!
