Post Mount Light Adds Industrial Pop of Color to Lakefront Home

A thought crossed my mind this summer as I was relaxing in a lovely vacation home on Tybee Island, Georgia. I could live here. Really I could. That happens when you find a spot where you can truly unwind and enjoy your surroundings both inside and out. And so it is for Washington residents Meg and Rick who are renovating their lakefront vacation home in order to move in permanently. Let’s hear it for a vacation that never ends!

Professional’s Corner | Post Mount, Gooseneck Lights Make Old World Statement

As long as man has been building shelters for himself, stone has been a material of choice. Not only is stone durable, fire proof, and an excellent insulator, it won’t decompose over time like other materials and is virtually maintenance free. When the creative minds at Sullivan Building and Design Group in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, had the opportunity to renovate an early 1800s stone house, they didn’t try to upgrade the design but instead renovated back to its original state complete with handmade lathe and horsehair plaster. Gas was certainly less than fifty cents a gallon the last time this light helped a passing motorist see the tank, but it is a great example of a classic light from the early 20th century. Post Mount Lighting Offers Safety Without Sacrificing Style

exterior_commercial_lighting_post_mount_lighting.jpgWhen creating your plan for commercial lighting, it’s easy to get caught up in the details of how many lights you need, where they will be placed, what kind of bulbs are best, and what it will cost not only for installation but for the long-term maintenance. While we agree those details are pretty important, don’t overlook the question of style! How are these lights going to enhance your business or cityscape during the daylight hours when people actually see the entire fixture, not just the light they project at night? These beautiful dark green post mount lights not only provide security after dark on this college campus, but during the day, the decorative post and flared shade add a dash of distinguished style to the walkways.
