Shallow Bowl New Hampshire1

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Shallow Bowl New Hampshire

Perched high above the beautiful terrain of New Hampshire, about 24 miles from Lake Winnipesaukee, lies one of the most impressive customer project submissions we have ever received. The photo alone belongs on a postcard or travel brochure with the bright fall colors, mellow tones of the barn, and of course the double rainbow culminating together to create a breathtaking moment in time. The rich brown tones of the cedar shakes are highlighted by the creamy muted yellow siding on the front of the barn, creating a complimentary division between barn and its surroundings. This theme is carried through to the roof of the barn, where the gray sheet metal is divided in the middle by an octagonal cupola. The cupola compliments the front of this exquisite example of American history, providing a break between the roof and the mountains in the background.

Artesia Gooseneck Light

Don’t Let The Size Fool You

Artesia Gooseneck Light

Drawing on inspiration from lighting that adorned barns and warehouses of the 1940’s and 1950’s, our line of warehouse shades reflect the same familiar outline of these shades when coupled with a gooseneck. Most general applications commonly used these large shades in areas where a wide dispersion of light was required, but lately there has been a need for a smaller version of our popular gooseneck light. The reason behind this need is that many customers are searching the market for lighting that reflects the same appearance of those vintage shades to light porches and provide light to the inside of their homes.

A Return To Tranquil Spaces

Rooster Ridge Banner
As visited in a prior blog entry, we discussed the importance of creating harmony in your living spaces and how it affects your ability to relax. In this posting, we return to designers Jeri Glatter and Steven Cohen at Rooster Designs who originally inspired us with their beautiful example of tranquility. This time we visit their latest barn project at Rooster Ridge where they utilized the rich solid weathered copper on a 16″ Radial Wave and a HL-A Gooseneck Arm. The contrast of the deep weathered copper set against the traditional red barn allows the Radial Wave to reflect subtle hues of orange and brown that compliment the flat red of the barn. This maintains the design harmony, creating a light that does not detract from the barn and further adds to the great detail of the project. This project was carried out to perfection and represents an ideal balance between color and style to fully create a tranquil space.
