Spring Brings Explosion of Color, Style to Home Exteriors
April seems to be flying by and spring is full steam ahead on our Instagram feed. We love seeing everyone’s porches and entryways spruced up for the season with colorful flowers, spring décor, and, of course, beautiful American-made lighting!
A splash of color greets visitors to Deana’s lovely farmhouse in North Carolina thanks to potted flowers and beautiful wreaths. The entryway is accented by two Original™ Wall Sconces creating a classic farmhouse vibe for the porch. These handcrafted wall sconces feature 12″ shades in a powder coat Black finish.
Rhonda’s greenhouse is prepped and ready for the growing season! This Texas master gardener has a loyal following @SouthernHomeandFarm who can’t wait to see what’s popping up this spring. Rhonda chose the Marathon Gooseneck Light to brighten her Dutch door. This handcrafted fixture is customized with a 16″ shade in a powder coat Black finish, and G11 gooseneck arm.
In Austin, Texas, it’s already warm enough for a dip in the pool at the Peached Casita! Our good friend and designer Kim Lewis loves hosting guests at her tiny house located in the Texas Hill Country. The wraparound deck, complete with 12″ Aero Gooseneck Lights in a creamy Mint finish, beckons everyone to slow down, cool off, and enjoy the view.
Spring has definitely sprung at Lake Maxinkukee in Indiana where fresh flowers, a waving American flag, and Chestnut Gooseneck Lights create a welcoming entry for family and friends. Dawn customized her handspun gooseneck lights with 16″ shades and a White powder coat finish to match the door and windows. These fixtures are mounted on G15 Galvanized gooseneck arms.
The traditional beach cottage that Annie, @Most_Lovely_Things, calls home gets a pop of spring with fresh greenery, purple tulips, and nautically inspired Industrial Guard Sconces. Annie customized these American-made fixtures with a powder coat Black finish, flared shade, standard cast guard, and clear glass. She also added the dusk-to-dawn photocell option to turn the lights on and off automatically with the sun.
“We love the look and quality of Barn Light Electric fixtures. We appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into each custom-made fixture and that they are made in America,” Annie says. “Our neighbors are always commenting on how changing out the exterior lighting made such a difference. Lighting adds so much to a house in terms of curb appeal!”
