Porcelain Gooseneck Lights Adorn Mountain Cabin
The recent wave of hot weather on the East coast had me thinking that an escape to the cool mountains would be in order. Steamboat Springs is a popular wintertime destination with the ski crowd, but the Rockies are enticing any time of the year with warm-weather activities like rodeos, white water rafting, and hot air balloon rides to enjoy.
Tucked away in this northwest corner of Colorado, today’s Featured Customer built the vacation home of his dreams so that he and his family could enjoy the area year-round. Featuring a classic barn style with stacked stone and rustic wood siding, the new home was perfectly suited for American-made porcelain barn lights.
Craig created a rustic cabin look to his new home and garage shown here with barn-style doors and stacked stone pillars. The garage is used for the family cars and all the toys needed for mountaintop fun. Craig chose to highlight the garage with three Bomber Gooseneck Lights. These 17″ shades provide plenty of lighting over the wide doorways while the RLM-inspired warehouse shades keep the light focused downward to help keep the skies dark.
Craig chose our classic Vintage Green finish for the shades of these rugged wall lights and a Rust finish for the G19 gooseneck arm. He liked the vintage look of the green finish and the rust matched other fixtures they chose for the space.
The deep bowl of this shade combined with the sturdy backing plate and porcelain enamel finish make this an ideal outdoor industrial light for both residential and commercial applications. The porcelain enamel finish remains super glossy with just a soap-and-water cleanup and is one of the longest lasting finishes on the market today. Craig and his family will be beckoned home by these rustic gooseneck lights for years to come!
