Porcelain Gooseneck a Delightful Touch to Eatery’s Exterior

Before they opened their new Fork & Wrench Bar and Dining Room, the owners of this eatery spent two years designing and building the interior space with the goal of creating an environment that is a tribute to the working classes of the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. There are hints of a workshop, a linen factory line, a pharmacy, a college science lab, and a savings and loan office scattered throughout the rooms, balconies, and courtyards of the space. Loads of industrial touches are evident including bare bulb pendants, industrial stools at the bar, and plenty of wrought iron to complement the warm, dark wood throughout.

Classic Black Porcelain Warehouse Shades for Ice Cream Shop

On a recent trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, we were struck by the gaudy attempts of some businesses to dress up the old storefront to garner attention from the thousands of passersby each day. This ice cream shop, however, struck us as a classic black-and-white design that evokes memories of the soda fountain days when a root beer float cost a quarter, and you sat at the counter on short stools that twirled around. The checkboard pattern breaks up the solid black, and the window boxes full of seasonal flowers add a splash of color. And to top it off like a cherry on a sundae, beautiful porcelain barn lights!

Dining al fresco is one of life’s simpler pleasures and summertime marks the months when we’re drawn to take our plates outdoors. Gooseneck Warehouse Shades Ring Restaurant with Style

Nothing screams for barn lights like a country style restaurant, and nobody does country better than the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. As the door was closing on the tumultuous decade of the 60s, Cracker Barrel was born in a small Tennessee town near I-40 where tourists were starting to discover the new interstate system. The company grew quickly as word spread of hot, homemade breads and generous portions of country style fare. Today, Cracker Barrel has more than 600 stores in 42 states — not a single one franchised, the company proclaims, “to maintain the quality and consistency our guests rely on.”

Professional’s Corner | Q&A with VAI Studio in Hawaii

In the tiny village of Olowalu on the island of Maui, a casual roadside café called Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop opened last November. With the style of an old plantation store, Leoda’s serves sandwiches, sweet and savory pies, fresh-baked breads, and salads made from local ingredients. The remodeled space was created by Jeremy Stoddart, project manager for VAI Studio. In addition to using reclaimed and recycled materials throughout, Jeremy chose a variety of barn lights, porcelain warehouse shades, rustic sconces, and commercial grade ceiling fans from Barn Light Electric to create the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Leoda’s.

Gooseneck Warehouse Shades Complete Casual Look of Grill

More than 40 years ago at a chili cookoff in Terlingua, Texas, the idea for Chili’s Bar and Grill was born, and since the opening of its first location in Dallas in 1975, Chili’s has enjoyed a fun and colorful history. For the first few years, only Schlitz beer was served since Schlitz was the only company that would give credit to small, up-and-coming businesses. Ever notice an upside down photo in the dining room or paw prints in the tile floor? These are long-standing Chili’s traditions. These days, Chili’s wants you to “savor the flavor” and it’s obvious they’ve been spicing up something besides the ribs! Many locations have been sprucing up their locations with new decor and gooseneck lighting.
