Emblem Gooseneck Sign Light

Streamlined Gooseneck Sign Lighting Gains Mass Acclaim

Emblem-Gooseneck-Sign-Light

The typical use of sign lighting is to illuminate signs and awnings, with the hope of business owners bringing extra attention to their businesses. In the past choices were limited to one or two sign lighting styles that not always represented the overall exterior appearance of these buildings, but desire for something different persisted due to the increased want and need for more sign light designs tailored for specific building types. With architecture ever evolving, designs were needed for existing historical buildings as well as modern structures. Echoing some of the shared elements of these buildings, the creation of the Emblem Shade carries over an organic appearance that is provided through the use of rounded shapes and a slim low profile. Although fitting of a modern structure, the retro compact appearance of the Emblem Gooseneck Sign Light harks back to the Art Deco and Streamline Modern movements of the early to mid 20th century that emphasized rounded forms and function. This Architectural RLM benefits from a unique design that places the bulb high within the slanted upper dome of the Emblem’s directional shade, which collects the light created by a choice of standard incandescent, CFL, or HID lighting. When combined with a large selection of gooseneck arms and premium finishes, the timelessness and versatility of the Emblem Shade becomes more apparent through its unparalleled, universal design.

Polished Aluminum Atomic Industrial Sconce

Going Retro With A Vintage Industrial Light

Wall-Mounted-Double-Atomic-Sconce

At the start of the roaring twenties a new era of design ushered in a radical type of style, the Art Deco Movement used sleek simplified forms throughout its architecture and lighting. This popular movement came to an end in the 1950’s, where the Atomic Age began. Gone were the smooth aircraft inspired shapes that drove the Art Deco Movement; replacing them were raw industrial elements such as rivets, guards, and heavy-duty cast aluminum casings. This industrial style became popular around docks and fall out shelters due to their rugged, durable appearance. The rustic charm of the Industrial Age resurfaces in this recent incarnation of styling from the mid 20th century. Coupled with a timeless appearance, the Wall Mount WCGU Sconce combines function and style to create a truly versatile light. Utilizing a twin glass setup and matching wire guards, the Wall Mount WCGU Sconce provides ample light through a choice of two jelly jar glasses that can be customized with your choice of 8 glass options. Adding to the look of this light, several finishes are available to transform this light into a fitting piece of nostalgic history that matches your home or office. Not limited to industrial settings; this sconce gives a unique retro look to any bedroom, bathroom, or hallway with one flip of the switch.

Barn Light Electric P1 Post Mount Lights1 2

Post Mount Lights Add Finishing Touch to Exterior Lighting

Nothing gives a home or business a more finished look than the welcoming glow beaming from a lamp post light. This classic marriage of decoration and functionality was in use long before the invention of the light bulb as early models were powered by gas. Most designs harken back to the Victorian Era where lanterns adorned ornamental fluted posts and decorative bases lined the moonlit streets and driveways of America and Europe in the 19th century. White Flower Farmhouse

An Atomic Farmhouse On A Budget

Farm-Barn-Atomic-Wall-Sconce

In its heyday, the Atomic Age saw the use of streamlined designs and raw metals used to create a clean look that gave way to what we now recognize as the modern movement. This movement took place in the 1950’s and 1960’s, which was deeply influenced by sleek aircraft designs that emerged from WWII. Ironically the traditional farmhouse of the early 20th century was eclipsed by this Modern movement and other subsequent styles, replacing the ornate Victorian details with more economical ranch and contemporary styles. With a love for nostalgia, this customer project features a unique complimentary combination of Victorian and Atomic influences in this budget-defying kitchen. Using elements found in their shop, the owner of White Flower Farmhouse created a warm and inviting country kitchen from many refinished items and reclaimed materials. The traditional Victorian influence becomes apparent with just a glance at this phenomenal kitchen. Defined by classic cabinets, bead board walls, white appliances, and a series of stacked display shelves, this kitchen fits the much-desired look of a traditional farmhouse. Punctuating this room is the use of a converted counter display table from a hardware store that has been turned into a center island with room for storage and plenty of character thanks to the use of a galvanized steel counter top. Almost immediately your eyes are drawn to the deep brown of the oak hardwood floors, which is a pleasing contrast to the lightly colored cabinets aligning the floors and walls. This contrast from deep rich color to a creamy neutral pallet allows for a soothing transition, naturally drawing the eye up past the bead board to the ceiling where reminders of the Atomic Age shine down upon this cooking space. Aligning the ceiling is the use of 5 Farm & Barn All Weather Warehouse Glass & Guard Lights, which offer a refreshing take on this classic design. The addition of these Atomic Era lights merge the mixed elements of this kitchen, recapturing the essence of the 40’s and 50’s that saw these two styles collide.

Progressive-Health-Rehabilitation

Reclaimed-Beams-And-Rustic-Lighting Chestnut Pendant with Lapa Ceiling Fan

Sometimes the most therapeutic treatment can be tranquil settings, for this reason alone a whole industry has thrived on this desire to relax and revitalize both mind & body. Taking this idea to heart, the staff of Progressive Health of PA desired to create a place that was unlike a hospital or typical clinics, exuding a warm and welcoming setting for their patients. Focusing on brain injuries, this community based clinic enlisted some of our Barn Light Electric products to provide a complimentary look to their renovated barn project. This customer submission displays the care and attention paid to this building to create the ideal balance between new and old, making a home away from home for the patients of this nontraditional rehabilitation clinic. The dark gnarled beams and cross members weave their way in and out of the freshly painted walls, creating a refreshing balance of color mixed with naturally aged pieces of timber. Adding to the overall look of this reclaimed building is the use of a series of Chestnut Pendants in our Rosewood that stretch from the rafters above the main rehabilitation room, issuing a wide spread of light over the patients below. The deep browns and soft creamy caramel highlights in this finish allow a historic look to this newly crafted custom made pendant, complete with a slight contemporary twist that equally matches the surroundings within this restored barn. Matching this common rustic theme, the Lapa Ceiling Fan seems the natural fit when aligned with the high ceilings and dark aged timbers composing this reclaimed building. This new identity lends itself to the community, creating a pleasant atmosphere for patients to stride for new goals amongst the strong timber frame of this restored barn. Perhaps this project is a true reflection of the goals that this rehabilitation center has set for their patients by building upon what is provided and advancing past any expectations, unlocking inner potential and revitalizing from the inside out.
