Today’s featured customer, David Squire, owner of Squire Barber Shop, followed his dream and opened up his own business. David has been working as a barber since 1996, when he graduated from Bates Technical College. Today he works alongside fellow barber, Bryan, and the pair runs the shop with an efficiency admired by many. Their efficiency is what has made Squire Barber Shop the successful business it is today!

Originally from New York, Chris Calabrese and his wife moved to Keyport, New Jersey few years ago. It didn’t take long before he quickly grew tired of the daily commute they inherited with the move. Chris decided to put his dreams into motion and opened up a barbershop a few blocks from his home, aptly named Calabrese’s Barber Shop. A glance at Calabrese’s Barber Shop will transport you back in time. They refer to themselves as a classic, two-chair American barbershop, with scissor cuts and hot shaves being their specialty.

When you think about Extreme Makeover Home Edition, what comes to mind? It’s probably big, bold or beautiful homes completely decked out and customized for the week’s featured family. The Hall’s story is a heartwarming one; an extremely athletic family led by a father who became paralyzed in a tragic car accident. The design team created spaces in the home for each of the kids as well as Carl and his wife, Stacey.

The Hall family is an all American family from Kansas and was one of the lucky families that have received help from the EMHE team. Carl Hall, patriarch of the family and former baseball star, was seriously injured in a car accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down.
