Way back in the early 1800s, New Jersey was known more for its rich, rolling farmlands and gracious estates than being a gateway to New York City. One stately country home was built in 1815, and over the decades it was, no doubt, remodeled and renovated by each successive owner. Today, Nickelfish Interactive Design and Marketing (NFIDM) calls the old place home and recently gave the space a vintage facelift with new barn lights throughout.
It’s probably safe to say that mostly everybody out in the blogosphere is familiar with the Pinterest phenomenon, but how about those who just use the World Wide Web for emailing distant family and occasionally ordering gifts? Well, the days of dog-earring magazine pages and cutting out articles of homes or hairstyles you love are long gone with this new form of social media and networking!

In yesterday’s blog, we had a good look at the exterior of the beautiful ranch home of singer/songwriter Jewel and her pro rodeo cowboy husband Ty Murray. Their designer is Kim Lewis of Kim Lewis Designs who is also the Production Designer for ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” Kim met the famous couple during the filming of that series and was asked to lead the redesign of the couple’s home which sits on more than 2,000 acres in Stephenville, Texas. Today, we venture inside to see what lighting choices Kim helped the couple make.
