Here at Barn Light Electric, we’ve celebrated many milestones in our five-plus year history. Moving into our current building on the Indian River gave us more room as did the expansion into two nearby facilities that gives much-needed space to our R&D crew, our metal spinners, and our shipping experts. When you own a home on the beach, you have lots of friends. And your kids will have friends too who want to spend time in the sun and the sand. So, instead of facing years of sleeping bags lying in every room and hallway, why not plan for the sleepovers that are bound to happen? This adorable bunk room, in a home on Cape Ann in Massachusetts, was designed by our friends Andra Birkerts of Andra Birkerts Design and Charles Myer & Partners. Not only is there plenty of space for snoozing teens and late-night pillow fights, the room features some playful barn pendants and an unusual vintage ceiling fan.
If you’ve never been to Maine, try to imagine a state with hundreds of thousands of acres of forested land just ripe for fishing, skiing, hiking, and bird watching as far as your eye can see. Deep in a remote location of this beautiful state, architect Ellen Albrecht of ENS Associates, found herself remodeling a 100-year-old historic log building nestled amongst other aging log buildings. When it came to the exterior lighting, Ellen chose some classic barn pendants to highlight two porches — one open and one screened.
