CopyConvenient and energy efficient, a Dusk-to-Dawn Photocell automatically turns outdoor lights on in the evening and off when the sun rises the next morning. This photocell light sensor is easily installed by a qualified electrician.
For best results, the photocell should face North. Protect the cell from any direct artificial light that may be on after dark, i.e. through the windows or from lighted signs, etc. The photocell should have an open view of daylight; inside corners and overhangs may affect operation.

Troubleshooting Tips
Problem: Occasionally, the light will not turn on after dark.
Solution: Artificial light may be shining on the "eye". Shade the eye from this light.
Problem: Light switches on & off after dark.
Solution: The "eye" may be exposed to the light is it controlling. Shade the eye from this light.
Problem: Light switched on & off during the day, but stays on all night.
Solution: Line and light leads may be reversed, switch them around.
Problem: Light switches off some mornings but not others.
Solution: The "eye" is probably shaded too much and needs to be reoriented or possibly removed from the daylight obstruction.

Lead Times & Returns
Lead Time: Standard lead time is 7-14 business days. For products in our Quick Ship Collection, standard lead time is 5-7 business days. Products utilizing natural metals including brass and copper may take up to 20-30 business days to manufacture.

Finish Care & Maintenance
No metal fixture, no matter the finish, is guaranteed against corrosion especially in salt air environments. If your fixture is installed in a location near salt water, we recommend cleaning it frequently.
If your fixture is not installed in a location near salt water, we recommend periodic cleaning with a mild soap-and-water wash and gentle buffing to extend the life of our painted finishes.

The photocell works as intended but it is pricey.
Bought this to go with my barnlight. Easy to follow detailed instructions and fairly simple to install. Definitely worth purchasing as an add-on in order to get it custom painted to match your fixture.
